This image was captured some 11,000 feet up atop the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest on the White Eastern Sierra mountains.
The abstract shapes combined with the intricate wood grain gives the image an eerie life form look. Something quite alien about the subject and the location, mainly down to it’s remoteness from any other living thing. The deep sky sitting on the rocks creating an unearthly contrast between wood and rock.
